Alturas Institute Conversations with Exceptional Women
Back by popular demand, the Alturas Institute presents the 14th annual Conversations With Exceptional Women (In Person Only). The 2025 conference includes an extraordinary array of speakers from a multitude of industries, including law, film, arts, journalism, academia, government and business.
This year’s speakers include, Dr. Fiona Hill, internationally renowned best-selling author, former national security adviser to the president, and preeminent foreign affairs and national security expert; Dr. Ellen Ocho, author, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the first Latina astronaut to fly in space, and the second woman to serve as NASA’s Director of the Johnson Space Center in Houston; Dr. Anna Malaika Tubbs, twice a New York Times’ best-selling and award-winning author; Bridgett Hunnicutt, award-winning film director; Marie Wetherell, the Boise-born and raised lawyer-turned-film actor; Dr. Caroline Heldman, national television commentator, academic, women’s rights leader, award-winning academic and author; Dr. Caitlin Gustafson, MD, an OBGYN at St. Luke’s and President, Idaho Coalition for Safe Healthcare Foundation, Payton McGriff, founder and CEO of Style Her Empowered (SHE), a 2024 CNN Hero and 2022 Idaho Woman of the Year; Karen Day, war correspondent, Emmy winning film director, author, publisher and founder of IdaHome Magazines, and Lisa Morton, former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Idaho’s only fully certified STOTT PILATES instructor who travels internationally to educate new students to become Pilates instructors, and a Maple Tree Cancer Alliance Certified Exercise Oncology Survivorship Trainer.
