DESCRIPTION:PASCO — Students at Dr. Ellen Ochoa Middle School in Pasco received an inspiring visit Wednesday from the retired astronaut whose name graces the front of their building. \nDr. Ochoa\, the first Latina woman in space\, spoke to students during the school’s Wednesday morning assembly about her journey to working for NASA and the importance of education and hard work. \n\n“I hope that makes it a little more real for them. At one point\, I was like them\, I was in middle school\, I was not sure what I was going to do\, but I worked hard and ended up setting high goals for myself\, and was able to have an amazing career\,” Dr. Ochoa said.
