SUMMARY:An Evening with Dr. Ellen Ochoa - Purdue University
DESCRIPTION:An Evening with Dr. Ellen Ochoa\, NASA Astronaut and First Latina in Space\n\nELLEN OCHOA is the first Hispanic woman ever to go to space. She’s also only the second female Director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center—where she led the human space flight enterprise for the nation from 2013 to 2018. Ochoa is a trailblazer like no other. As an in-demand speaker\, she touches on resonant issues that have defined her historic career: What can we learn about change\, innovation\, and the culture of teams from her time at the upper reaches of NASA’s leadership? And what can we do—really do—to ensure that more women and minorities find a place within STEM fields?

SUMMARY:CyberSmart 2019 Summit
DESCRIPTION:Message from the Chair\nOne of the most pressing challenges and opportunities that we are faced with is the growing demand for cybersecurity talent. With global demand expected to reach 1.8 million by 2022(Source: 2017 Global Information Security Workforce Study)\, being proactive and collaborative is no longer an option. \nThe CyberSmart Summit was created to bring together decision-makers and practitioners in industry\, government and academia to share challenges\, opportunities and best practices for cybersecurity skills and workforce development. Going into our third Summit we are looking forward to bringing together our colleagues from countries around the world to demonstrate how we have moved the needle and also showcase the new connections and collaborations that have resulted over the last couple of years. We will also focus on updates from the Summits outcomes and take-aways from 2018. \nA key discussion over the last couple of years was the growing demand for a multi-disciplinary approach. CyberSmart 2019 will delve deeper into this aspect of cybersecurity and explore the international collaborative aspects of this approach.
